Month End Report

As with the end of most months, I was surprised on Saturday when I walked downstairs and saw the kitchen calendar flipped to August..I had to do a double take before I realized that my husband was just planning ahead (he also changes the clocks mid-afternoon for daylight savings time)!

I had a really great month in my sewing room. I got everything crossed off my to-do list that was left over from June and added a few new things. I wound up with a whopping 27 hours sewing! The highest monthly total I think I've ever had when I wasn't at a retreat or a sewing day or two. Here's what I got done:

- Two big baby nine patches for my friend's new twins
- Doll blanket for the above twins' big sister
- Stars wallhanging (a finished UFO!)
- Center of the top for Lois' bowtie UFO
- Finished 2 Las Vegas wall hangings from Lois' UFO stack
- 2 dresses sent off to Haiti
- Clock for Shiisa
- Cut remaining setting triangles and finished piecing the top for my Five Easy Pieces quilt (a UFO that sat untouched for about a year!)
- Quilted 2 squares to practice some new FMQ designs

I am planning some more FMQ practice this month and hope to get my HQ back on the frame (I keep saying that, don't I?). I also need to get a baby announcement cross stitch fabric framed and want to get back to my Judy Laquidara quilt. That should be enough to keep my busy for the month!
