Design Wall Monday - I Sewed!

My mom and I had a sewing day yesterday while my dad took the kids to lunch and a movie. It was a very productive afternoon for us both. I worked on putting the stack and whack blocks into a quilt top and my mom worked on blocks for a UFO.

I got my top finished and even came home and made the back last night. My mom even talked me into making the binding yesterday so it will be ready to go on when I get it quilted.

This one is going to Jill for quilting and I am looking forward to seeing how she quilts it!

Last night, after I finished the quilt back, I started on some quilting. I loaded this quilt from my mom over a week ago and started the Popcorn panto on it last night. I have my fingers crossed that I won't run out of thread - I am playing it tight on the top and bobbin! I think I will put in a thread order today just to be safe!

Hope you're having a great long weekend for lots of time to do whatever you want!

I like your quilt on the frame. It looks like a QOV. I love the popcorn panto too. It's fun and fast and in my book that's a good thing.! Have a great holiday.

your quilts look great. I am running low on thread. So I bought some at a quilt show. Ugh, wrong color for the quilt I was working on but I made it.
A sewing day sounds like heaven!!! And your quilt is gorgeous!
