Stash Report and Catch Up Time

Well, I guess it is high time I do a stash report and general update since I haven't blogged in the last few weeks. On the stash side, it is really because there isn't much to share. I have been busy/travelling and that really cuts into the sewing time!

First for the stash report. Since I last posted a stash report in mid-May, I have not added anything and have used a measly 5/8 yard for binding and hanging sleeves, so the year to date looks like this:
Added year to date: 14 5/8 yards
Used year to date: 27 1/8 yards
Net used: 11 3/4 yards

I have a couple backs to make soon, so they should help (when I finally get to them!).

Now, for the rest of the catch-up....since I last posted, Jenna bridged from Daisy Girl Scouts to Brownies,
I went to Dubai for work,

then on to Bangkok, where I got to only one stop (the Golden Palace) on my only day for sightseeing and promptly got sick.

I entered 4 quilts in a local show and won two ribbons! (they only had two ribbons in each category and I took 2 honorable mention/2nd places). I didn't even get to see them hanging in the show so I was thrilled to open them when I got home and find the ribbons. The winners were my Judy Laquidara quilt called Autumn Splendor and my Halloween quilt

I packed up, priced, sold, then donated the remainder of my baby/kid stuff in the garage sale in my parents neighborhood (since I missed the one in my neighborhood due to the work trip).

And I sewed, just a little smidge. I am working on a small wall hanging to give to Jenna's fabulous first grade teacher at the end of the school year. I will show a picture when it is done, because it (hopefully) shouldn't take too long.

It has been a busy few weeks and I am really looking forward to a few slower/normal ones so that I can get back into some type of normal routine! So, that's the news from around here and school isn't even out yet!
