Do you have a Laundry Basket?

I mentioned in my Lightning Round post that I had the chance to meet and hear a lecture from Edyta Sitar of Laundry Basket Quilts at our last guild meeting. Do you have any Laundry Basket quilt patterns? I didn't think that I did, but as she set up her sale table, I noticed one I already made (remember this?)

Then, I saw another pattern that I've had for ages - this is her quilt all done because my pattern hasn't even made it out of the bag yet!

Her lecture was fantastic - she had a whole program about how quilts relate to the people in your life and the journey of her own quilting experience. It was really inspiring and her quilts are amazing. Even though I wouldn't do all of them in the same colors or fabrics, the patterns are really striking. The slide show is below or you can click on it to see the pictures larger and a few captions.

At the end of the night, I found two more patterns in my bag - one for a purse and another for a small quilt. Let's see if I can get one of those into my rotation soon!

Coming up in August....Laura Wasilowski.....stay tuned!

Laura Wasilowski was at our state quilt meeting this spring. She was great! Be sure to bring tissues though, she had us laughing so hard we were crying. Enjoy!
Gorgeous quilts!!! I'm kicking myself for missing it!!!

I have always been fascinated by Edyta Sitar's quilts. It was such a treat to see her work on your blog. That little slide show feature is very slick!

Thanks so much for sharing! I think she is one of my favorite designers. As soon as I get caught up on my ufo's, you will see lots of projects designed by her coming from me. It is great motivation!!
