Stash Report - Week 14

This was a great week in the sewing room (unfortunately not a great week in the basement, but I won't whine about that on the blog...I will just say that I am very glad that all the fabric down there was in plastic bins).

Last weekend, I got some cutting done and this week, I finished up my new purse/tote. I love it! It is the snap happy tote and the top snaps together with the use of metal masking tape. It matches the little baggie I made here, which turns out to be perfect for my digital camera!

Here's a picture of the inside.
I made the pocket inside out, but the good news is that I will be the only one who knows (oh, yeah, I guess all of you will know too). Perfect space for the cell phone and iPod. I had so much fun making the two snap happy bags, I may have to make a few more!

I also got some more scrap bags cut out and plan to sew them this week so that everyone in my bee can have one to toss their scraps in.

Fabric added this week: 0
Fabric used this week: 4 5/8 yards

Fabric added year to date: 7/8 yard
Fabric used year to date: 33 1/8 yards

Net fabric used: 32 1/4 yards - boy, I didn't think last week that I'd jump past 30 yards this week - that sure is motivating!

You broke the 30 yard line - congrats! Please tell me your secret of not buying any fabric ( well, 7/8 of a yard does NOT count...)
You have such restraint! The bag is lovely...I have been enjoying all the spring projects and yours is one of my favorites.
Love the bag!! Such great, bright colors!

And congrats on passing the 30 yards! I hope to get back up there very soon! :)

I have never heard of metal masking tape: where does one get that? Love your bag, enough that I may just have to make something like that for myself.
