Two July Quilting Goals

Like most months, I have an idea of my goals from the start of the month, but sometimes it takes me a little while to get them on the blog. I am already underway with one of my goals and hoping to find some time this weekend to get both of them moving.

1. Cut and start assembly for Sandhill Sling bag - I purchased the lining fabric last month so am ready to get started on this project. I ordered the other zippers I need and they are here and ready for me. Last Sunday, I got all the pieces cut out so I am planning to fuse today and start construction soon after that. While I don't know that I will get the bag completely finished by the end of the month, I hope to have it well underway.

2. Make back for and load Acrobatic quilt top for quilting - I want to keep this one moving so that it can be gifted right after I show it at my October retreat. I don't have anything in the queue for quilting at the moment, so thought I could get this right on and to a finish soon. If I get quilting started, that will be a bonus, but no rush on that. We'll see what I feel like once it's loaded.

Summer finds me spending more time inside, I am not a fan of hot and sticky! Let's hope that translates to accomplishing both goals this month :)

I'm with you on not enjoying the hot, sticky weather, Jennifer. Actually, I don't mind the hot--just the humidity :) Best of luck with your goals--look forward to seeing your July finishes! Enjoy your week ♥

Good luck with your July goals. The month is almost over and I'm not anywhere close to getting mine to the finish line. Stay cool and stitch on.
