As I shared in my goals post, I am going to set two quilting goals a month and I know that sharing those goals helps keep me more accountable. So, for January, here's what I'd like to accomplish:
1. Make good progress on the Marble Mystery quilt. The clues for assembly started back in September or October, but I hadn't touched it since my retreat in October. So far this month, I finished cutting the last fabric and completed part 3 (which was actually the first assembly part). There are two more parts before the quilt top assembly, so I'd like to get at least that far by the end of January.

Where I am now - part 1 complete and ready to start part 2 |
2. Load and start quilting Quarter Log Cabin quilt. Last time you saw this, it was a finished top. The good news is that I purchased an extra wide backing for it at the same retreat when I finished it, so no quilt back to piece. I've pressed the quilt back, so still have a little work to do to cut it to size, cut my batting, and get it all loaded. I know how I plan to quilt it, so once it's loaded, hopefully I can jump right into it. It's a big quilt, so it will take a while to quilt and I am fine if that goes into February.

I am glad to have a three day weekend next weekend, so let's hope that helps me to achieve my January goals!
