Stash Report - Week 35 & 36 2013

Backs make for a great week on the stash report and I made two this week! First up was the back for the quilt I finished last weekend. It is all sealed up and just waiting for me to go buy envelopes so I can mail it to Jill for quilting.

Once I got that finished, I got back to quilting and finished the graduation quilt for my mom. The picture is much darker than I realized, but it shows the full quilt, which was quilted with the popcorn panto. I took it back to my mom earlier this week and she loves it. Two graduates down in that family and one to go (in a few years).

After getting the grad quilt done, I decided I wanted to keep quilting, so I pulled out one of my UFOs - the Disappearing 4 Patch top that I made at my retreat earlier this year. Friday night, I made the back, loaded the top, and started quilting. I am using a panto for this one too - it is Echo Holly and Poinsettia. I am also using Magnifico thread in bright green and am loving the way it is quilting. I hope to get it done today and will get another quilt from my mom to load after this. I'd love to make some good progress on my quilting goals this month.

Here's the official stash report:
Fabric added this week: 0 yards
Fabric used this week: 6 3/8 yards

Fabric added year to date: 14 7/8 yards
Fabric used year to date: 48 3/8 yards

Net fabric used: 33 1/2 yards

Hope you had a great week with your stash!

Your quilts are beautiful. I especially like the D9P. Great stash numbers too. I'm still trying to get out of the red.

I really like the D4patch. I think that I will add it to my list on things to do. The colors of the graduation quilt are great. Popcorn is a great panto.
Backings are great stash busters! your projects all look great. I have seen a few blogs with Christmas quilts underway. Now is the time to work on them so they will be done in time.

Thanks for visiting my blog!

So nice to have projects finished. Backs make for a good chunk of the "USED" stat in the Stash Report. I love using bright green and bright pink thread on scrappy quilts like your D-9 patch. Its surprising how it actually enhances the variety of fabrics instead of detracting from it. Sandi
