I have a baby quilt to show today that will (hopefully) be packed and in the mail by the end of the week. I got it put together in late July and quilted shortly after, but it has taken me a few weeks to get the binding done. I was able to plow through it this week while watching a whole season of a show on Netflix - nothing like tv time to get a binding on!
Using inspiration from Angela Walter's first book, I followed the zig zag pattern for the quilting (when I started, it was really scary!). I did swirls in all the white zig zags and then a unique pattern in each of the colored zig zags. I had fun with it and the custom quilting really didn't take that much longer than an all over or a panto. The detail shots aren't great, but it gives you a bit of an idea of what I quilted in a few of the sections.

Hope you had time for some sewing (or binding) this week too. I am headed to the basement to work on a UFO for a while -- if luck serves me, I may have something else to show by the end of this week!

Great job! I'm teaching a chevron class this week and it would be fun to quilt like this. There's also a modified pattern for a chevron with a strip of background between on the Me and My Sisters site under free patterns I really want to try. Can't wait to see if you got more accomplished.
