I was lazily stitching last night when I realized I still had to get my French braid chains done to show them today! But, before we get to them, here's the charity quilt I quilted earlier this week. I used the Bubbles panto again, and I think I may need to re-name it Bobbles! It is a tough one, but I think I was doing better by the end of the quilt.

I did a little work on my mountain of binding Sunday - got two attached - one fully by machine (see quilt above), and one half way done so I can hand stitch it. I still have one other waiting for me and two more to sew on.

Finally, here they are - the four "light" braids (because they start with a light fabric vs. a dark one). The colors are bolder and brighter in person with lots of gold tones in the fabrics.

That's all here for now - quite a good bit if I do say so myself! It feels nice to be moving some things forward!

Sounds like you had a productive weekend. Is that the Asian French Braid kit sold at Lollies from our first Shipshewana retreat?
Way to go on the charity quilt. Looks great! And woo hoo for the bindings! LOVE LOVE LOVE the braids so far! I can't wait to see the whole quilt. :)

Three quilts moving along, excellent. I really think I would love to make a braid but I can't seem to find a place in the production lineup.

Your charity quilt looks great and your French braids are very pretty -- you did very well on your projects this past week. Nice going. Looks like you had fun on your shopping spree too. You got some nice things.
