Stash Report - Week 36

Since I didn't use any stash this week, I figure I could at least share some pictures of a finished project.  Okay, I figured out after writing this whole post that I did use some stash this week, because I finished up a baby blanket (will post a picture later because it has the recipient's name on it and I know her mom sometimes reads the blog)!

I sewed the label onto the comfort quilt that I made this week so it is ready to gift. I pulled greens and animal themed prints from my stash and then had to purchase a few animal prints to finish it up (they were counted when I made the blocks last month). I decided when putting it on the frame that I wanted an all over pattern and that this would be a good quilt to try something new. I practiced for a few minutes, then took off with the Paisley design from Leah Day's blog. Here's a closeup of the texture that it gave the quilt.

I had all kinds of problems with the tension on this quilt and tried just about everything, but at the end of the day, I think I have a bad bobbin. Here's a distance picture of the back (not showing you up close cause you'll see the evidence of the tension issues ;)

All in all, I really like how it turned out and would definitely make this quilt again. I think it would be fun in holiday fabrics too.

Hope you had a great week!
