Stash Report - Week 29

My stash report took a brief break last week because I packed a couple suitcases and took the kids to Houston to see where I grew up. We stayed with family and friends, ate a lot of good food, and swam in the pool a lot. We had a great time, and before I left, I finally finished my Judy L. quilt - got the binding sewn down on Tuesday night and I am so happy with how it looks - I am definitely going to put this one in the quilt show later this year.

I didn't do any other sewing leading up to our trip and didn't go to any quilt shops while in Houston (whew!), so the stash report would have said nothing added, nothing used last week. This week, I started a new quilt top which will be a comfort quilt for a little girl whose daddy passed away recently. I got six blocks made Friday night and am planning to head upstairs after I write this post to make another six. I am using novelty pet and animal prints, so had to borrow some from my mom and might have to pick up a few others today so I can make the quilt a nice size. The good news is that whatever I bring in will be cut up right away :)

Fabric added this week: 0 yards
Fabric used this week: 1 1/2 yards

Fabric added year to date: 22 3/8 yards
Fabric used year to date: 52 3/4 yards

I am still at the same place for patterns - net of 0, but I am using one for the comfort quilt, so as soon as the top is together, I will be in the black :)

I can see why you like that quilt so much. Striking and effective use of color.
