Design Wall Monday

Ages and ages ago, I asked some of you for help in setting some bow tie blocks from my friend Lois, who left me her stash (and stack of 56 UFOs). In going through the stash boxes, I found a ziploc bag with a huge stack of blue and cream squares, so I decided to stick them by my sewing machine for some easy piecing when I was tired. From the beginning, I planned to make them into a charity quilt and last night, I got that top done! I have fabric pulled for the back and will make it sometime in the next few weeks or months and then will pass it on to a local women's shelter for use in one of their beds.

Very nice way to use of some of that fabric.+
Isn't there just so much satisfaction in being able to contribute our quilts, or quilt tops, to charity groups? I gathered together 4 baby size tops for our local charity yesterday. Toni

Nice quilt. It will be such a gift for whomever receives it.

A charming and simple design. I like the cornerstones and borders too. Congrats!

Yay! Isn't "mindless" sewing the best at times? Such a great result!

This is pretty -- I think whoever gets it will love it.
