When Judy pulled UFO #6 at the beginning of this month, I was pretty happy to work on a quilt top that I've had done since the retreat I went to in 2009. I pulled together fabric (some I'd forgotten about but luckily stored with the top) and got the back made at my bee's January workday. I planned to load it on the frame right away, but my mom asked me to quilt a top for her and it was small and was going to use the same panto I already had lined up, so I did that one first. After that one was done, I did a check of my batting to discover that I didn't have enough Warm and White to do this quilt. Mom and I made a trip to Joann's today and I picked up a bunch at 50% off :D so I am set for a while.
I got the quilt loaded today and met Jenna's request of pink thread on the top (even though I really wanted to use neon green!). I started off tonight on the top border and quickly lost steam. I am doing loops and loosely following the butterfly and flower designs in the border fabric. I stopped after getting the top border done because I am not quite sure what to do in the middle in the blocks - if you have any ideas, please let me know! If all else fails, I will loop my way through the middle.
My plan is to work on the quilt tomorrow since we have the day off for MLK and hopefully get the binding on by the end of the week so I have the last week of the month to get it sewn down and the label on. Then I get to hold my breath to see which one Judy picks next! There are a few higher on my list than others, so I will have my fingers crossed for a couple items not to get picked yet!

what about alternating a flower and butterfly in each of the centre blocks. You should be able to continual quilt them if you are careful and make them fairly large
