I put the final stitches in for Jenna's Butterfly Fling quilt tonight, my #6 UFO for Judy's UFO Challenge. I have to say that I don't think I would have finished this quilt anytime soon if it wasn't for the challenge, because I just didn't have the kick in the pants that I needed. Thanks for the kick Judy!
When I started the month, I had the top and binding done, and a little fabric pulled together for the back (but I knew it wasn't enough). I split out what I needed to do over the month as follows: week 1: make the back, week 2: Load and quilt, week 3: bind, week 4: label and relax. The plan went awry in week 2 when it took longer than planned to quilt, but I managed to catch up with a lot of binding this weekend!
You got a sneak peek at how happy Jenna is with the quilt when I took it off the frame, but here's the final product.
I am hoping for an easy draw for the month of February because I have another busy month at work and would like to have some time to work on my new projects. Numbers 3,5,8,9,11, or 12 would be good ones to pull. Fingers crossed!
