Stash Report - Week 32

Yikes! No sewing at all this week :( I was busy at work and several nights got right back on the computer after the kids went to bed, and I started reading a good book, so the machines were neglected this week. I pulled some fabric to continue practicing quilting on, but never got to it so it won't go into my used fabric for the week.

Yesterday, my mom and I spent the day together after a sad visit to the vet and found ourselves at three quilt shops! First stop was Quilts Plus to get some coordinates for my Cherish Nature panel. We didn't remember that it was the day of their Ice Cream Social with hundreds of bolts in the courtyard for $4/yard. Even though I don't need any new fabric, there were some that I just couldn't pass up at that price.

After that stop, we went up to the old Quilt Quarters (the shop is moving to a new location and the old one has tons of old fabric, kits, books, etc. for 50% off). I didn't see any fabric I had to have there, but I did find a DVD about Free Motion Feathers that I have heard good things about, so I picked it up at 50% off.

Last stop was a good one for me - no purchases! It was the new location for Quilt Quarters and we were literally driving by it so had to stop. The new store is laid out really well and is only 10 mins from my house, so I will probably be back there again.

Here's the picture of the purchases, then the stash report below:
Fabric used this week: 0
Fabric added this week: 7 3/4 yards

Fabric used year to date: 78 3/8 yards
Fabric added year to date: 29 1/8 yards

Net fabric used: 49 1/4 yards (and I continue to huddle around that 50 yard mark!)

Sad at the vet is not good...

Love the middle fabric in the top row - it's all yummy though!

These fabric sales are just tempting. My LQs mainy has fabric at $8 and up so the temptation is not really there. But after all: 50 yrds busted ain't bad! I am still working on it....

Not bad deals you bought. Let us know about that feather dvd soon.. I might need to get it too.
Sorry about the vet visit, those are the hardest visits to do. My vet finally said our kitty cat probably will keep her eye, 7 weeks of meds and still going, she injured it some how or had help from the other cats.
Great job on the stash report!

But I'm so sorry to hear about the sad visit at the vet. How are you and your mom doing?

Sad time at the vet makes me sad for you and your mom. I'm glad that you were together and able to turn it into something positive.
