Stash Report - Week 9

I am catching up with posting pictures of recent purchases in this report. I think I've found the "no new fabric" loophole...plenty of money for thread, books, and patterns!

Several weeks ago, I won one part of a giveaway on Shellie's blog and she sent this pattern. I have several precuts that should work with this pattern, once I figure out who it would be good for!

Then, I ordered some thread from SewThankful. I opened it in the evening and yesterday was the first chance I had to see it in the daylight. Oh, my, I am loving these colors!

And yesterday, I was pretty good, but did see a few things I couldn't pass up at the IHQS.

Very good for the stash report though! I cut some fabric for blocks of the month this week. The blocks will be made over the course of the year, but all the block backgrounds are ready now. I pulled the fabric for the first block the same night, and hope to get started on it today. I did buy one FQ at the quilt show which will be a b-day FQ for one of my bee mates, but I will count it in so that I can count it out in a few weeks :)

Fabric added this week: 1/4 yard
Fabric used this week: 7/8 yard

Fabric added year to date: 7/8 yards
Fabric used year to date: 22 5/8 yards

Net fabric used: 21 3/4 yards

Looks like you got some great buys!! I LOVE the Lava thread! It and the King Tut do wonderfully in my quilt machine!

Hummmm. That is a great concept. Less money spent on fabric more on thread, books, patterns. Yes, I like that. Thread is something I am glad I am not keeping track of. Your thread is so yummy. You used more fabric than you added. I'd say it was a good week.
Like the thread, and the loophole!! tee hee
