Podcasting

I love my little iPod touch. I bought it originally because I wanted the wifi email/web access and thought I might listen to a little music on it. Then I discovered that I could plug it right into a jack in my minivan and life hasn't been the same since. I hardly ever listen to the radio anymore and after I drop off the kids, I listen to podcasts on my way to and from work, appointments, my parents, the grocery store, etc.

I have two favorites that I listen to every week, and when I miss them, I really miss them! Tops on my early in the week list is This American Life, a public radio show. It makes me think, hard sometimes. The shows really stick with me. Tops on my late in the week list is The Chaos Chronicles. It makes me laugh, and it makes me feel a little more like a normal mom. Lian, who does the Chaos Chronicles, used to have a show, then podcast called Satellite Sisters. When they went off the air, I think I went into a depression...so thank god Lian started Chaos Chronicles.

I also subscribe to Annie Smith's Quilting Stash podcast and really enjoy her interviews of quilters, but she is not podcasting as much this year.

But now I have a problem....I increased my work schedule from 3 to 4 days a week at the start of the year and now I am running out of podcasts before my commute is up for the week, so I need your help! Do you podcast? Is there one you love? It can by quilting, parenting, general interest, news...really anything that will add about another hour - 90 minutes a week to my listening pleasure! Let me know what I should add to my rotation!

I'm a podcast junkie too. Same with me, I've stopped listening to radio, and have podcasts going while I'm clocking up the kms every day. One Australian one you could try is Is it just me. Very good. Plus there's the Moth Podcast. I also try out book-related podcasts like ones from The New Yorker and UK ones like The Times. Hope that helps! Liz
I don't podcast, I 'read.' I have the satellite radio and I can't tell you the last time I listened to the radio! Can't help with the podcasts, but if you need a good author, I'm there for ya!! :)
