Measure Thrice, Cut Once

I bet you think this post is going to be about a cutting mistake. Guess again! I have surely made several of those during my quilting time, usually accompanied by four letter words! But this little post is about some really cute gifties some of my quilty friends have bestowed upon me in the last three weeks.

The story starts at our bee workday on the first Monday of January, when I forgot to bring my measuring tape. I was cutting backs, so that was kinda a problem...it is hard to measure backs with a 24" ruler! I borrowed a measuring tape from one friend an mentioned that I used to have one in my travel bag, but don't know what happened to it where the kids put it.

So, I return to work the next day and have a little present on my locker (long story, but I have a locker and not a desk...will share that on a really slow quilting day!) from my admin.

Then, I went to guild the next week and Suzie, who let me borrow her measuring tape on work day, hands me a little baggie with a present in it.

Then, my mom goes on a little shop hop on Friday and brings me back another little present.

I think I should be set now! I fully expect Jenna to steal the kitty one, but at least now I'll have an extra when she does.

They are lovely.

Whenever mine get lost I know exactly who and wear they'll be, Mal's shed. If he can't be bothered to look for his he'll just come and 'borrow' mine.

Love and hugs Gina xxx
That is too funny!! That kitty one is very cute and I'm sure you can kiss it goodbye once Jenna sees it! lol
how funny. I love the kitty one.. though my kitties would consider it a toy and it would never be seen again.. LOL
