Lois holding Jack, with me at bee in early 2008
This morning I received the sad news that one of my quilting friends passed away. She entered the hospital in October for knee replacement surgery, and came through that well, but about a week later started having multiple other complications. She wound up in critical care in early December and was transferred to an acute care hospital a few weeks ago. I held out hope that she would be able to overcome the complications and return to some level of health, but that wasn't to be.
Lois was a great friend in my bee and was always along on our shop hops. She also treated my kids like grandkids and they both loved "Auntie Lois." She will be greatly missed.

Rest in peace Lois. You left us far too soon.
