Well, our plans to head to Cincinnati for the AVP tournament were foiled when we called to find out that they only had standing room seats. We decided that wasn't wise with the hot day predicted and two toddlers, so we went for plan B. We met Mike's sister's family at Brookville Lake for an afternoon on their boat...and then plan B turned into plan C when the boat had trouble. Plan C was great - we followed them back to their farm outside Greensburg, IN where they have a whole bevy of animals. The kids enjoyed swimming in the pool and then had a blast visiting with all the animals.
Jenna was quite the helper, feeding the outdoor dog, two barn cats, the goats, miniature donkey, miniature pony, and chickens, and throwing fish food into the ponds for the catfish and bass. She also checked the chicken coop for eggs and found one!
It was a great day and the kids loved seeing all the animals. Oh, and Jenna got to ride Belle the horse too. She rode Belle at Thanksgiving last year and was really nervous. This time she jumped right on and had a blast. Here are some pictures of our adventure!
