Two September Quilting Goals

Here we are 2/3 of the way through September and I haven't yet posted my August recap or my September goals. The recap will take a little more time, but I can get the goals listed quickly. I didn't finish any of my goals in August so that makes September pretty easy - I'd like to get them all done! I listed three and said that two of the three would be good...and I have already finished one of them as I type this, so let's go for all three by the end of September:

1. Finish fabric baskets for stitching retreat gifts (this is the one that's already done, my retreat was last weekend).

2. Quilt and bind Acrobatic top - this was a challenge pattern from our retreat last year and I want to have it all done to bring back for show and tell this year. I did the quilting on it today and cut the binding, so I should be able to get the binding on next weekend.

3. Bind the Fly a Kite wall hanging - this one has been quilted since earlier this year and I'd like to get it in the finish column. If I can focus on binding next weekend, I should be able to get this one in too.

Wish me luck!

The fabric boxes are darling, Jennifer. You can do it with the binding.

I really love those fabric baskets, Jennifer--I'm sure they made for extra special retreat gifts! I've been slow in September, too--haven't done a blog post or even one on IG all month. Need to remedy that :)

Some months are just that way aren't they? Good luck with your goals for September. Sounds like you've got a good start on them.
I love how you set clear and creative goals for your quilting projects—so inspiring! It’s always exciting to see how fabric can be transformed into something meaningful. As someone who enjoys both crafting and gaming, I’ve been thinking about how cool it would be to quilt with old T-Shirts for Every Gamer—a fun way to preserve memories and fandoms in fabric form. Thanks for the motivation!
